I got the slowcooker out last night and made lemonade chicken, which was mostly a success but next time I will add a heap more rice to the pot, or else none. The lemonadey sauce worked out nicely on the chicken, but the half-cup of rice I threw in just to try it out (I didn't add more because I was afraid of sucking up all the liquid and burning things) just got all soaked in sweet lemony sauce and was a little overwhelming. I'll make more rice, mix it with the sauce and chicken, and heat it in the oven to eat the leftovers. (Leftovers being pretty much the point of a slowcooker.)
