fear of commitment?
I think holiday music is making me slightly insane. After listening to "Winter Wonderland" approximately forty times today, I have started to analyze the lyrics.
Is this song about fear of commitment? They're not married, but then they sort of get engaged in front of the "Parson Brown" snowman analogue; then, later on, they have to conspire to "face unafraid the plans that (they) made" (which makes little sense to begin with - conspiring to face your plans? - but that's another story).
Did walking in a winter wonderland give someone cold feet? Am I losing my mind?
