I need a mallet.

I could probably use some ether, as well, but there was not any at the grocery store and so I am afraid I shall have to do without.

A mallet…?

[Laughs]

That is an unusual object to ask the Network for.

I suppose a hammer would do, as well.

Are you building or destroying?

Several people have been complaining about that song…
[Maybe Clef had snapped ]

None of the above.

Surely you are not implying that I would commit vandalism, Commander Vision?

Not seriously.

[Pause.]

If it is nether of those options, why do you need a mallet?

There are a number of potential uses for mallets that do not fall into either category. Perhaps it merely needs to sit in an accessible location in case of an emergency.

Or I might be using a different definition of "breaking" than you are.

A paper weight?

[And to the ‘breaking’ comment. ]

That sounds more likely. Do you intend to clarify or keep me in suspense?

[A pause. ]

Unrelated to this mallet issue… I was wondering. How well do you understand magical curses?

[OOC: Tyr might want to speak to Clef sometime about breaking a curse. CR POWER! Eagle recommended Clef if Tyr ever wanted to do anything about that curse he apparently has. Just a heads up. ^_^ You might want to tag um sometime.]

It's already my favorite. :3 1/2 conductyourself January 24 2011, 05:05:36 UTC
I intend to keep you in suspense indefinitely.

... Curses as in, spells you cast on someone that have an effect over a certain period of time?

[ As opposed to, say, City curses or 'Curses, foiled again!' ]

I understand them fairly well.

I was pretty certain that was going to be the case.
You enjoy dangling these little intrigues and never explaining them.

[Smiles at you. ]

Yes, though I am not sure this has a time specification on it.
[Tyr was a little guarded about the nature of his curse with Eagle.]
Curses unlike the ones the city comes up with.
I thought you would understand them. I wouldn’t have wanted to give someone a false recommendation.

Usually with good reason, I assure you. [ smiles back ]

Not in this case, however.

They generally do, although many are indefinite or active until broken.

Of course, I don't want to assume too much if the affected individual hails from another world.

[ Here, Clef displays his amazing ability to maintain a stoic expression when he is secretly flattered. Aw, Eagle recommended him to someone! ]

I shall do my best, in any event.

[And yet, Eagle thinks very highly of you. ]

I’m not sure that person will actually ask you about their problem, but at least now you won’t be surprised by the question if they do.

[ The feeling is mutual, on both counts. ♥

Damned if you'll ever get Clef to admit it, though. ]

Ah, indeed. In any case, thank you both for the recommendation and for letting me know, Commander.
