This comment is kind of late because I've had this open for a few days, but only just got the time to finish it. I wanted to reply to this comment instead of starting a new thread because I'm the person who made the "flowery" comment (hi! \o/) It's really kind of weird to find out something I've said is being commented on, haha. And I'm sorry, I didn't see your response to the anon comment on aific until just now, so I will just tackle both here.

First I want to say that I really do honestly like how you write and I was absolutely not suggesting that you "dumb it down". I love love love intelligent writing. And maybe "flowery" wasn't exactly the right word to use, because when you called it "dense" I kind of went, "yeah that makes a lot more sense!". It's not a bad thing though, but the problem I have is that sometimes I get a bit lost in the descriptions and the scenery and forget that there is a purpose/goal/end to what I am reading. You paint a beautiful image, but there are times when I feel like all the words get in the way of the story moving forward at a good pace. I do think it's more obvious in some parts than in others, though.

I also want to clarify that I'm not suggesting you change the style you are comfortable with based on one comment, and that the comment I made was also not meant to be mean. I think that being comfortable with how you write goes a long way towards making better fic. But I also wanted to be honest about what I was thinking - because if I hadn't been, there would have been no point in commenting in the first place.

I read all of your fics way before the aific application though, and I liked a couple of them enough to revisit a few times, so you're definitely hitting some of my buttons. :D
