Ok, since I'm hopefully running this community with escape_vitriol, first of all a big HELLO!! Let us just get this project as lovely and various as we can! Here is my meme:

Username/name: TSiLvY
Location (optional) Italy
How are you involved in fandom? (ie: author, artist, vidder, beta, voracious reader, etc.) Author, artist, vidder, voracious reader (pretty anything, but not beta yet! ;))
Other fandoms, if any: Harry Potter, some Smallville
Favourite TOS episodes or moments: City on the Edge of Forever, Journey to Babel, Mirror, mirror. Too many moments to count.
Favourite characters (besides the Cap'n) Leonard "Bones" McCoy, Spock (but really all the original cast).
Favourite ships, if any USS Enterprise NCC-1701
What is it that you like about Jim Kirk, or about hurt/comfort revolving around him? I like the easy gentleness of the man and the strenght he shows when dealing with difficulties.
What's your favourite kind of h/c, if any? (ie: emotional hurt, physical hurt, illness, etc.) Pretty much anything as far as it's well represented.

How are you involved in fandom? (ie: author, artist, vidder, beta, voracious reader, etc.) I'm a writer, not an artist. :P
Other fandoms, if any: I'm slightly fandom bipolar; it ranges from Sherlock and Sherlock Holmes to Doctor Who to my old childhood fandoms like the Justice League and BTAS cartoons (and the wackiest crossovers of all of them, too). And those are just the ones that I write in! I'm a little late to the Harry Potter and Merlin bandwagon, but love them too.

Favourite TOS episodes or moments: You really don't want me to start listing them, trust me. There are comment length limits. :) My favorite moment is a tossup between the group hug at the CotEoF reunion, or the triumvirate's rocket boots moment in Star Trek V. Yes, I am one of those people who actually loves ST:V. I also adore the entire Piece of the Action and Journey to Babel episodes, and will always have a fondness for Devil in the Dark because it was my first TOS ( ... )

I'm also one of those people who actually love ST: V! \o/ And you mentioned The Ultimate Computer - I am overflowing with glee. =D
Oh, and I'm the author of This Above All, the Shakespeare-fic you reviewed at ffnet. It now has four chapters instead of two. *facepalm* Soon to be updated, and I mean really soon this time.

May I friend you? :D

But of course! We have to stick together in this dwindling fandom. :) I've had very little time to read anything lately but will definitely pop over to read the updates!

We have to indeed! It was the thought of some sort of rescue effort that led me to ask T'Silvy how she'd like the idea of a comm, and the rest is history. ;)

Hello there! The other mod at your service. :D I couldn't post my meme fill last night because of a pretty nasty power cut, but here I am now! =D

Username/name: escape_vitriol / Iraada; you can call me Cain. I'm simplecoffee on most other sites, including deviantart and FFnet.
Location (optional): India. :D
How are you involved in fandom? (ie: author, artist, vidder, beta, voracious reader, etc.) Author and reader, mostly. I occasionally make icons and wallpapers and stuff. And now I'm one of the moderators of this comm. :D
Other fandoms, if any: The Bourne books ('Cain' is a reference to these), Yes (Prime) Minister, Top Gear, Probe, His Dark Materials, Carmen Sandiego, anything Asimov, almost anything Pixar...I don't create fanworks for all of them, though (most of them, in fact).

Favourite TOS episodes or moments: The Return of the Archons is my favourite episode, followed by The Conscience of the King. I also love the golden triad of City, Babel and Tribbles (who doesn't?), and have major soft spots for A Piece of the Action, ( ... )

Eheh, I know, right? Immaculate commander is just too good to read! And oh yeah, actually there's just so much canon h and so little canon c only that we could be talking and fantasizing about them for a lifetime. Poor boy. Could you say? I'd already guessed headachefic is quite your cup of tea. ;)

escape_vitriol August 10 2012, 19:08:52 UTC
Hee, absolutely. There are just so many delicious questions almost-but-not-quite-raised by canon that it's impossible not to explore them. That's probably why TOS went and drew me into both reading and eventually writing fanfic. ;D
Heh, people have slash goggles and I have headache goggles. I could point to Balance of Terror and The Enemy Within straight off, not to mention The Trouble With Tribbles. *snuggles him*

And me too! Which is a lot saying. XD

Eheh, wait until I get a beta-reader and you'll know what I think about Balance of Terror. B)

How are you involved in fandom? (ie: author, artist, vidder, beta, voracious reader, etc.) I'm an author, artist, voracious reader, beta and I hope to become a vidder in this fandom now that I have all 3 seasons.
Other fandoms, if any: Oh.. I have a huge amount of fandoms that I play in. It's best to check that out on my profile page.

Favourite TOS episodes or moments: I honestly can not pick out a favorite. As long as James T. Kirk is on the screen/episode I love it!
Favourite characters (besides the Cap'n) If I had to choose one other than Kirk, I guess Spock. But Captain Kirk is and shall always be my favorite.
Favourite ships, if any I pretty much see James T. Kirk with anyone. :D And I also like Spock/Chapel
What is it that you like about Jim Kirk, or about hurt/comfort revolving around him? There isn't anything I dislike about him. I adored him the minute I saw him. No one beats Captain Kirk!
What's your favourite kind of h/c, if any? (ie: emotional hurt, physical hurt, illness ( ... )

Welcome! \o/
We should be a little more up-and-running in the next couple of days. Hopefully more Jim girls will join us - quite the rare species, aren't we. ;)

Thank you! :D

It does seem like it. There for the longest time I thought I was the only one who adored Jim Kirk.
