who Mika Hasegawa, Jung-Su Shin, Eun Mi Shin, Duck-Hwa Shin
say whuttt Mika comes to Korea
when? Thursday
where? Airport
WARNING! none?
She stood near the conveyor belt, waiting for her luggage like all the other passengers. She wasn't fiddling around like the others straining to see their luggage. Instead, Mika was immersed in a book, her eyes concentrating hard on the text, her lips moving soundlessly. There were times when her voice would slip, startling the French tourist nearby, and she would hurriedly apologize in Japanese which nonetheless sounded like gibberish to them.
Given this was her first time taking a trip alone, Mika was excited. South Korea was undoubtedly a wonderful place filled with extremely gracious people. And talent too! If only she could understand what they were saying. Throughout the weeks leading up to the trip Mika attempted to pour through the books for once. Although she was sure it would be a great trip even with a language barrier, actually communicating with her hosts would be a plus.
Her hosts were just the kind of gracious, talented people she'd been thinking about. Jung-Su insisted on greeting her at the airport with his siblings. Since it would be their first time meeting, Mika took extra care of herself- preparing a notepad and a pen in her bag just in case her Korean went down the drain.
Through the corner of her eye she spotted her suitcase stroll by. Tucking away her book, Mika grabbed hold of it, walking towards the meeting grounds in search of the Shins. Thankfully it was in her personality to be a calm girl but she smiled all the same, peering at everyone she passed in hopeful spirits.
