I guess its probably easier to cringe at something than to think about it lying under a sun and manifesting itself to such an extent that maybe, just maybe you would like to participate, nay, be part of it. Easier to dismiss something if it falls out of your normal parameters than to actually consider the possibility of it actually changing your life. Maybe even improving it. Of course, we always hurt ourselves too much when we go after something that we desperately want, only to have it thrown in the gutter at the last minute. Man on the street yelling "you can't have it!" That bastard. Having it flaunted in our faces until we cry Uncle! Oh well, i guess there is always something to be said about taking the harder path; not just shrugging your shoulders and moving on with your life at the slightest hint of defeat. Something i guess i've done all too often in my life.
Devo was right.
Looking for petty excuses not to do things is just so much more disappointing, especially on that big projector screen of our life.
