parental visit = great fun and food
So mom and dad got in to town Monday night, and we met up with my friends Mary and Neils and their daughter and went to an italian restaurant, Biaggi's. I tried something new this time, the grilled mahi-mahi with smashed potatoes and some sundried tomatoes and onion relish stuff. Delicious, I ate the whole thing.
Today, I met up with the parents and visited Cave of the Mounds - very cool place. We tooled around MH (the town nearby) and stopped by a cafe for iced mochas and yummy hazelnut cake.
In the late afternoon, we went to M'ton and visited the Mustard Museum. We tried a bunch of mustards and got some, and learned a lot about mustard. The mustard plant is related to the cruciferous veggies - like broccoli and cauliflower. We went to Hub. Ave Diner and had a great meal - I split a Sheldon (vegetarian Reuben sammitch) with mom (and side salad) then I had a piece of cherry pie a la mode for dessert. Super.
I got an hourlong walk in after we got back to town. It has been fun. Tomorrow, we're visiting a new place and meeting up with my boyfriend for chitchat and lunch at the least. Awesome.
