Brilliant. Just brilliant. The little cameo appearance by Bobby Bob Bob just made me cackle with laughter, it's so absolutely spot-on in character! And it's so interesting seeing things from Naboo's perspective, even though his perspective is distinctly warped by being a permanently stoned alien. It's quite touching that he deliberately botched the spell by having Howard remember Vince's friendship, but not the sex. But is he really going to be able to sort it all out for them again?
I was disappointed you didn't mention my subtle characterization of Bob Fossil in this chapter.
I've always loved Vince/Noel's combination of ingenue and street punk. It makes me smile to imagine Howard talking about his fragile and delicate Precious that makes him feel protective and then introducing the actual Vince. I think it would have been just as disconcerting to meet the real Howard to anyone who heard Vince talking about his mature, dashing and experienced lover...
I thought my appreciation of your Fossil went without saying! (Actually, I did originally mention him, but I kept having to trim the reviews so that they'd be short enough to actually post... damn character limits!) You do write an amazing Fossil, because you've got his particular brand of insanity down to a T, and I can always HEAR Rich Fulcher in that dialogue
