didn't think it would be this good
It just occurred to me that I don't really use online blogging/journals at all lately, especially lj. hmm.
anyway, I got a J-O-B! I work at a daycare here in Iowa next to Subway. (catch the rhyme?!) It's such a fun job. I love it so much that I'm absolutely miserably sick right now and my voice is going more and more every minute, but I'm still going to work today for 8 hours b/c I'm not contageous. The kids there are...well...kids. They're all adorable in their own way, but they can ALL be 100% atrocious at any given time. it's great!
It's one of those really really exhausting jobs (mentally and physically) that you're glad to clock-out of at the end of the day, but miss once you get home. Thus is why I called my boss this morning, basically asking if it was ok for me to come in. She said if I start to run fever, I have to leave, but until then I'm not contageous and can stay til 5:30pm as planned. I love my boss!!! I really am lucky to work under someone like her. She runs an organized, successful daycare, honestly cares about all of the kids that attend (and it shows), and makes it a point to keep a healthy relationship with all of her employees.
oh, and I get my first paycheck today!! score! It's a little over a hundred for 8 days, after taxes! I was telling my parents that Randall is bringing me to the mall saturday, and i made a joke about spending my whole check - And get this, Mike was like "Hey, it's your first paycheck, I say go for it." i was floored! I'm really not going to, though. I may buy a thing or two for myself, but I've already got a list of other things (people) I need to spend money on.
well, i have work in an hour...so i'm going to take a bath. i'll post again...well, whenever i get time?
