[Minato is only on some of the lesser sponsorship games, and he had already promised Bulla he'd be there. He took the time to add a few extra songs to the karaoke machine and is currently giving it a whirl.

For such a quiet guy, he seems to take to it with some energy.]

[shops_a_lot]

[Bulla is there to watch for most of the song, and she applauds when Minato finishes his performance. It's always the ones you don't suspect, she's learning.]

Nice job, Minato!

[Minato wipes some sweat off his brow and bows at the small audience, smiling.]

Thanks! Want to try a song on, Bulla?

[shops_a_lot]

I guess it couldn't hurt! Are you going to sing with me?

[zeroth_card]

Sure, if you want to! Come on, pick a song!

[Walks over to the machine to show her the menu.]

[shops_a_lot]

[Bulla goes through the song selection, then picks a fairly popular song with both male and female vocals.]

How about this one?

[He checks the name of the song.]

Huh. That one sounds good.

[He sets it to start and passes her a mike with a grin.]

You'll go first; dazzle the crowd, Bulla.

[shops_a_lot]

[Bulla laughs a little at that.]

You'll probably be the one dazzling. But I think I can manage not to hurt anyone's ears, at least.

I think I would have hurt ears when I first started practicing singing. Good thing I got better, though.

[The music then starts, and he shuts up to let Bulla do her thing.]

[Bulla sings with energy. It's clear that she's enjoying herself and isn't too nervous, which helps her performance. Her voice isn't great, but she manages to sing on key and doesn't sound terrible. She passes Minato the microphone a couple of seconds before the song switches to male vocals.]

[Minato sings his part with gusto. He's performing better than Bulla, though not by much - any improvements that can be heard from his voice and performance are obviously the result of his practicing karaoke over on Iwatodai to build his courage, so while he's hardly nervous, Bulla has the better natural voice. He passes the microphone back to her just before the song switches to female vocals, though her next part will mostly be building towards the chorus.]

[There's a few people listening to the duo singing. They're not quite watching with rapt attention, but a few people are nodding their heads to the beat or drumming their fingers on tables in time.

It's encouraging to see, and Bulla sings out her next few lines with a big smile on her face, then holds the microphone between the two of them for the chorus.]

[Getting a small audience seems to encourage Minato as well, and he leans in to sing the chorus along with her with a matching enthusiasm.]

[Bulla passes the microphone to Minato for the male portion of the next verse. It seems that a few more people have joined in to watch them. Enthusiasm is apparently contagious.]
