I never played 1st Edition

I may never have played 1st Edition D&D but I saw it. It looked overly complex to someone who sucks at math. I got brought into the fold of gaming sometime back in JR. High. I saw the cartoon on tv and loved it. It was awesome to a youngin' like me. A chance to play pretend and have enemies outside of the ones in my head.

I started with 2nd Ed and then went to R&E, also known as Advanced D&D. Ooooh, Advanced. Fancy. Through this game, I've found friendships which have continued (in diminished form but still there) to this day.

Because of my love of D&D, I found LARP groups and online games. I've met so many wonderful people because of this, even the man I'm now married to.

Thank you Mr. Gygax. May flights of Celestials sing thee to thy rest.
