as i pulled out of bj's today with my freshly cut hair a car drove by and in the backseat there was a little girl who was sticking her barbie mermaid out the window and smiling as big as she could due to the excitement of seeing the pink hair of her barbie shimmer and fly in the wind. i really couldn't help but smile with her as the car that she was in flew on by.
things have been great! it's an awesomely beautiful day outside, stacey is being goofy...the whole 20 mins that i have seen her today, i have a second job that i am looking forward to, and chris is coming!
i decided not to work at lonestar. after having an extremely rude hour and a half "training" with the manager, i decided that there is no need for me to be unhappy working as a waitress. i had an interview with sears yesterday and i got a job as an MCA or Manager and Customer Assistant. I'll be setting up displays, arranging backwalls, helping customers, and putting stock out on the floor in the clothing departments. i know sears isn't the most ritzyist department store ever, but my manager is awesome! and i feel really good about this job. they said it's fast paced so the shifts will go by quickly for me. i know i won't make as much money at sears, but i'm not too concerned about it. i'd rather be happier. seriously. i know i stress about money a lot. but i think my happiness is more important to me right now. it's about time that i'm satisfied with what i have instead of wanting more or feeling inadequate. i don't know if you know, but i'm a pretty awesome person and i'm glad that i finally feel that way again. :-)
mom got a cat. it's black and i guess it's name is zorro.
what else is new? um...i'm trying to build up my photography portfolio a lot so it'll be really impressive when i start applying to grad schools.
other than that not much is happening, i'm helping molly and roger paint their new house. it's good to actually have friends around during the summer! it's also super nice to have stacey ten feet away from me again. i've really missed that! im sure she's really enjoying seeing the cowlick in full action in the mornings again!
mwelp. i got a house to clean and errands to run.
kick it!
