On second thought...
Big mental shift on the garden and vines this afternoon when my friend was over - she asked how the planning was going, and as I listed off all the fruity things I'm thinking to plant, I started to realize that I'm borderline certifiably nutso. Is there a "crazy cat lady" equivalent for berries?
New plants:
2 columnar apples (2 flavors cross-pollinate)
1 juneberry/serviceberry/saskatoon (self-fertile)
2 bush cherries (self-fertile, but I am so in love I want two)
3 gooseberry varieties (could just do 1, but they sound so cool...)
1-2 raspberry canes in the corner (depends on how many from next door come up under the fence)
1 patch of garden vegetables
2-3 pots of herbs
So no, I do NOT need a pair of kiwi vines which will involve building an arbor and learning to prune like a pro.
But what am I going to put in my 2 30-gallon pots??
