In the last week i've started p90x, a daily kick your butt, get in shape workout program that you can do at home with elite trainer tony horton.
My brother has done it and love it, the informical is great, he's worked with countless athletes, so i figured i'd give it a try.
I'm nearly a week in, i've done 3 hard weight works outs, 1 plyo workout, and 1 get my ass kicked yoga workout.
In the last week I've done more pullups and pushups then I did all of last year (i think...) I can already start to tell a difference in how my arms feel. It was the easiest time i had spinning fire poi last fri at lannie's then i've really ever noticed.
2 things i still need to add in
- I need to get running, i haven't really run much in the last month now, since I tweaked my hamstring at the jingle bell run in dec. Running on p90x is boarderline insane from what i've read online.
- the diet plan. Being a soy free vegan, makes following a plan designed for meat eaters quite challenging. I need to look through it and see if i can adapt a way to make it work for me.
I do have pre photos taken (taken on day 5, instead of prior to day 1) and my starting weight was 186 12.3% body fat. I'm expecting my weight to stay the same, maybe go up or down, depends on how much muscle i build. the bodyfat will go way down (ideally to 5-6%), i think my waist will slim down, and my arms are going to get ripped.
I'll probably post photos when i get to day 30 and take new photos as a comparison.
running,
