Gravity
As I sit here in my cube listening to a co worker scream on her cell to her boyfriend "why are you hollerin' at her like that?" all I can do is hope that I will never be a parent who yells at their children. I know this is in regards to her kindergarten aged "step" kid named Taylor. I know Taylor is loved, but is getting a bad start in life if all that her parents know, in the lines of discipline, are yelling and spanking. I know this bad start will lead to anxiety and a general sense of worthlessness.
So watching that, and knowing that even with the best intentions, my emotions have been known to overcome my rational mind and I have lost it a few times... I can only hope that if I have a kid, I will treat it with respect and give it options.
That's all for now. I'm going to put my headphones on and try to keep my mouth shut.
