Scream as you might,
Let it fall on uncaring ears,
Sounds as good to the deaf,
Terrified as ever in these years,

I could swear on every star,
That everything I felt for you,
Was truer than ocean blue,
Honest to god,
The words of my own mouth,
I would stake my own throat,
That if they were lies,
Let my lungs gasp one last breath,
And feel noose begin to choke,
Priding myself on the truth,
Shunning my actions,
As you begin to move,
Away. Not for now,
But for what seems an eternity,
That may or may not be a fate,
That was supposed to happen,
True, but hard to relate,
Through any such words,
The way your lips so hastily approached mine,
To let something die so quick,
Is something I feel guilt and admit,
But I can't make you change your mind,
For something like that, there is only time.

I can watch you walk away,
An not blink a bat,
Watching you walk here,
Seeing you come back,
Is what I fear the most,
Because thats when,
and you should know,
that I will never,
Let go.
