After pulling Tempe out of her room, Sawyer led her to the West Attic, covering her eyes with his hand as he opened the door. He had set up the table with candles and a meal that he had ordered made himself. Right.

"You ready to be surprised, darlin'?" Leaning down, he whispered in her ear as he inched her inside and shut the door behind them. "

Tempe opened her eyes and looked at the scene before her. "Oh my God," she said softly. That was not her tearing up at all. Her eyes were watering, damn it!

She turned to Sawyer and wrapped her arms around his waist. "You. Are the sweetest boyfriend ever. Thank you so much."

"Is that so?" Leaning forward to give her a small kiss on her lips. "Mmm. Hungry?" Not to mention he had a nice gift to give her.

"Starving," was Tempe's response. "I'm not altogether convinced that I had lunch today."

She responded to the kiss by twining her arms around Sawyer's neck and deepening the kiss.

Sawyer grinned down at her after he pulled away. "Save that energy." He purred as he pulled her towards the table and sat her down; a sappy love note was infront of her plate as well as a box. "Sit. Eat. Be merry."

Settling into her spot, Tempe first picked up the note, opened it and began to read.

Dear Tempe,

I hate writing letters and stuff but I figured that I'd try. The first thing I want to say to you is that: I love you. More than you know, it's been an utter joy to be around you this long, I only wonder what it would've been like if we met earlier on.

I know we've both been through hard times but you always seem to be the stronger one of us both which I admire the most. You remind me of my Mother, you have a caring soul and you love me for me. Thankyou so much for being by my side even if I'm effed up really bad.

Anyways, I'll cut this short because my hand it hurting. I love you. Don't you ever forget it.
