I continue to find myself immensely curious about this place. Just the other day, I managed to gather quite the curious collection of jewelry because of our surprising royalty. On top of that, I saw boys who should be girls and girls who should be boys, all believing that they were dragons or royalty

I was raised Jewish. But I've met a few gods.

Someone I care about a lot made a deal with them, they twisted it to make it worse then it should have been. I don't suggest making one unless you're willing to give up something big. Like your senses, an arm, or something like that for a temporary amount of time.

Some of the Norse ones, some of the more powerful demon lords from Limbo that think of themselves as gods, and I'm sure there's others in there.

She wanted something very important to her from home. They requested an arm for it, she thought it'd be okay since she can regenerate. They made it where she couldn't for 3 or more days but they didn't tell her that would happen.

Curious, but I suppose circumstances and different worlds would lead to that.

There is always a catch.

Probably, it's not like the gods are actually worshiped or anything in my world. They just exist and mess with people when they can. Same with the demons, except not all demons are bad. Not all gods are either but I think most of them hover between either just not caring or wanting to mess with us.

She probably thought that giving up her arm was the catch. I tried to get her not to do it, but she's been through enough in her life and those things were really important to her.

You're right though, with them or anyone you're making deals with there's always a catch. And it's never pleasant.

They never do it to this extent, when they do it's usually not a group affair.

One woman had to trade her eyesight for a month for something, another girl had to trade her ability to use her hands for a time period, another had to trade their memories of a particular person. There's a few more examples.

And how do we know that it is all of them at once? They might have a nice little schedule, you know.

Were these circumstances as expected or did the catches only settle in after the fact?

They don't. I've fought them before with some of their own on our side. They've never been a very big concern though.
