much needed R&R

Had a pretty lazy day today... turned off the alarm and slept in 'til almost 9 this morning...

Glorious!

Heard from my friend Ashley up in SC... so now have directions on how to get to her little city... sweet! So maybe I have plans for Friday?

Here's hoping...

I need to lose some weight... probably should start exercising, eh? will probably be limited to walking (not the work walking, but the walking for long periods of time) and doing push-ups... given that I'm trying to reduce the size of my gut, you'd think that sit-ups would be more in order, but I'll have to do those later.. I'm not a big fan of those, so they have to be worked up to... maybe flutter kicks?

Saw the movie 'The Great Raid' again today... was channel surfing (I'm a guy after all) and it was on, so I stopped and watched... things like that don't happen any more, unfortunately. Not the war part, that happens all to frequently, but mounting rescue operations for POWs or hostages just don't seem to happen any more, ant that is an unfortunate thing... I really wish that every time someone killed an American, just because he or she is an American and they don't like our country very much, that we would land on that said group with Lucifers Hammer... just gather a bit of intelligence on whomever did it, and then just drop some Marines in and kill every living creature there.. raze the city/town/camp to the ground and sow the area with salt... the more people you kill, the bigger the resulting salt patch is... and if it turns out that it's state sponsered terrorism, then you pop a couple of low yield nukes in a couple cities just for good measure... as well as killing all the persons associated with the murders... that should take the starch out of a few fanatics underwear.. and if nothing else, it would make the return on investment quite unfavorable for people to support/sponser said fanatics...

This idea, of course, would cause massive heart failure among our political 'leaders', and would quite probably kill Alec Baldwin... so there are two positives...

In case any of you are wondering why my posts have become so verbose lately, well, let's just say that I'm writing less e-mails these days... leaves me more words per day to put on the old Journal..

Oh, I've given more thought to that Suicide Hotline Operator job, and while it would definitely be a job with tremendous job satisfaction (ushering along the self-culling of the herd), it seems that my major problem with it is that it is too piece-meal, too slow, and too reliant on others to actually do what they promise they will do... given the slacker nature of so many of todays kids and young adults, they'd probably fuck up their own suicide, and then joe and jane taxpayer would end up footing the bill for this incompetent loser... that is why I like the idea of being the Granter of Licenses for the Right to Reproduce... instead of culling the herd one at a time, we strengthen the gene pool by not allowing huge subsets of persons to reproduce... of course, I would retain the right to revoke said license at any time, and force the abortion of the child up until their 25th birthday... hey, you say kill, I say abort. Anyone remember the Suicide Booths in the pilot episode of Futurama? We need to invent those.

Okay... tired now, so it's time for some more of that Rest I have been getting all day... just want to be doing the Sleeping Rest instead of the Doing Nothing Rest that has occupied most of my day... bye all...

bloodthirsty, lonely, sleepy, bored
