Hey all...
I know I've been a hermit lately... in fact, the only people to see me outside of work in the last couple weeks have been steph74 and ro_dan... the lovely and talented mokitty dropped by the restaurant a couple weeks back... but other than that, I've been 'Mr. No Communication'... this isn't due to any really good reason, other than just working too much and not having the energy or motivation to pick up the phone, update the LJ, or even e-mail anyone!!
There are probably a couple of y'all that think that I'm irate about something and haven't been talking to you on purpose, but it ain't true... unless you called me, then you probably haven't heard from me...
And the only reason that Danny and Steph *have* heard from me is that I'm in the process of moving in with them at their house... and it's hard to move stuff in without chatting with them... it's just rude to do otherwise! :-)
The roomie is finally back in town... but not for long... he's been offered a pretty good contract with the company that he has been doing the fieldwork for, so he'll be back long enough to pack up all his shit and move out... he'll be living in Manhattan, for Christ's sake - couldn't pay me enough money to live in that damn town... I am *so* not a metropolis kinda guy. LOL
As I stated earlier, I'm in the process of moving out, so his departure isn't such a bad thing, eh? The only one that will be upset is my landlady... she's sad that I am moving out - I've been paying her rent for 3 years now, and I'm probably her favorite tenant... not her longest term - that would be crazy Larry that lives in the apartment next door - but I'm the one she get's along with the best.. :-)
Okay... long day at work is almost over - the bug guy is here and roaches are being killed in droves... I really wish that we could figure out a way to keep them out forever, but that ain't *ever* gonna happen... filthy little fuckers... but we keep the place clean and have the bug guy in once a month - so that keeps them mostly in check... *sigh* he'll be done soon, and I'll be on my way home... for a couple hours, at least...
Cazzie - please come down tomorrow and see me!! I missed you so much at D*Con, it's not even funny!!! I've got a couple bucks, so we can go to Moes!! Yay Moes!! Ha!
