Especially when they go out to eat!!!
Now I know that it isn't the rule of thumb, but tonight I have had some crazy sumbitches wander in to my fucking restaurant!!!
First, I have this psychotic couple come in... he has to be schitzo and she is deaf, old and mean. The lady comes up to me, standing at the front of the restaurant (observing the goings on in my mini-kingdom) and asks where the bathrooms are. I tell her, and point the way (all of 6 feet away from where we are standing)... she interprets this as saying that the ONLY bathroom is the one straight ahead - which is the mens room... she stops herself prior to walking in, but complains bitterly to me that my directions were not specific enough... WTF!? I say to her, "I'm sorry, luv, I didn't mean to confuse you.", being very serious in my apology. She says to me (all old and mean and stuff), "I'm NOT your 'luv'!" Bitch. She then goes and tells her husband that someone (probably meaning me) had asked her upon leaving the bathroom if 'everything had come out alright.' Psy-fucking-cho! The two of them continue to act like shitheads to their server (one of my best) and on their way out the door say, "You'll be hearing from us soon." Fucktards!
Next, I have a couple sitting at the bar... they are talking to another couple that comes in quite regularly (3 - 5 days a week), and the lady in the first couple is getting quite loud... now I don't mind a little loud, but this is, after all is said and done, a *restaurant* not a *bar*. After seeing a couple of my customers in main dining look at the bar in irritation at one of her outbursts, I approach the group and ask if they can dial it down a bit... actually, I ask quite nicely (thank you very much) if they can be just a bit quieter... the lady looks at me in stunned amazement and says (loudly), "You're kidding!? We're being too loud for a BAR!?", to which I replied (again, very nicely), "No ma'am. You're being too loud for a *restaurant*." The lady seemed very offended, telling me that "We've been patrons (yes, she used that word) of this place since BEFORE it was this restaurant - back when it was Malones!" I politely refrained from pointing out to her that it was the same place, just a new name.... so when they leave, the gentleman comes up to me, shakes my hand, and says "Thanks to you (ha!) I won't ever be able to come back to this place."
Can somebody tell me what the fuck is going on with my customers tonight?
irked,
pissed,
annoyed
