- GeekGirlCon, October 8 & 9, 2016, Seattle, WA, USA. GeekGirlCon celebrates and honors the legacy of women contributing to science and technology; comics, arts, and literature; and game play and game design by connecting geeky women world-wide and creating community to foster continued growth of women in geek culture through events.
GeekGirlCon has donated ten passes to Con or Bust, of which three have been claimed.
- Octocon 2016, 14th- 16th October, 2016, Dublin, Ireland. Octocon is the National Irish Science Fiction Convention; its Guests of Honor are Rhianna Pratchett, Diane Duane and Peter Morwood and its 2016 theme is Rebellion.
Octocon has donated two memberships to Con or Bust.
- Sirens, October 20-23, 2016, Denver, CO, USA. Sirens is a conference dedicated to the diverse, remarkable women of fantasy literature: readers, authors, scholars, librarians, educators, publishing professionals, and characters. Its 2016 theme is lovers, and its guests of honor are Renée Ahdieh, Laurie J. Marks, and Kiini Ibura Salaam.
Sirens has donated three scholarships to Con or Bust, which include a full registration to Sirens and a Sirens Shuttle ticket; one remains available. The registration gives attendees access to everything from Thursday afternoon to Sunday, including all Guest of Honor keynote addresses. The shuttle ticket covers ground transportation to and from the Denver airport to the Inverness Hotel (more info, including schedule). The scholarships do not include tickets to the pre-conference events of the Sirens Studio and Sirens Supper; transportation to Denver; or hotel costs.
- Eurocon/Bcon 2016, 4, 5 & 6 November 2016, Barcelona, Spain. Eurocon is the annual European science fiction convention; Bcon is the 2016 Spanish national convention Hispacon happening alongside the Eurocon. The Guests of Honor are Aliette de Bodard, Richard Morgan, Enrique Corominas, Andrzej Sapkowski, Johanna Sinisalo, Rosa Montero, Rhianna Pratchett, and Péter Michaleczky, with special guests Brandon Sanderson and Albert Sánchez Piñol.
Eurocon has donated four memberships to Con or Bust, which should be claimed by October 15, 2016.
- Windycon, November 11-13, 2016, Lombard, IL, USA. Windycon is Chicagoland’s oldest science fiction convention. Its Guests are: Author Guest of Honor: Adam Selzer; Artist Guest of Honor: Art Baltazar; Costuming Guest of Honor: Nerd Circus; Music Guest of Honor: Ookla the Mok; Fan Guests of Honor: Doc & Anne Passovoy; and Toastmaster: Tanya Huff.
Individuals have donated three memberships to Windycon.
- Arisia, January 13 - 16, 2017, Boston, MA, USA. Arisia is New England’s largest and most diverse science fiction and fantasy convention. Its Author Guest of Honor is Ursula Vernon; its Artist Guest of Honor is Stephanie Law; its Radio Guest of Honor is Krypton Radio; and its Fan Guest of Honor is Greykell Dutton.
Arisia has donated ten memberships and two hotel rooms for three nights each, which should be claimed by December 15, 2016; one of each have been claimed so far.
- ConFusion, January 19th -22nd, 2017, Novi, MI, USA. ConFusion is the longest-running fan-run sf/f convention in Michigan and a premier event for publishing professionals and fans alike.
ConFusion has donated two memberships to Con or Bust, which must be claimed by December 31, 2016; one remains. In addition, individuals have donated two memberships and $400 toward other costs of attending ConFusion; the monetary assistance has been claimed, but both individually-donated memberships remain.
- Capricon, February 16-19, 2017, Wheeling, IL, USA. Capricon’s Author Guest of Honor is Beth Revis; Artist Guest of Honor is Nilah Magruder; and Fan Guest of Honor is Meg Frank.
Capricon has donated two memberships to Con or Bust, and individuals have donated four memberships, to be claimed by January 15, 2017.
