In the simplify my life category, I decided to try freezing whole smoothies rather than just the veggies. This cuts out both the ice-cube-tray step and the morning-addition step. We will see how that works but adds in a must-remember-to-put-in-the-fridge-the-night-before step. This way also has the advantage of encouraging them to be very green. Which is how I prefer them - I like my fruit better whole, for the most part (although fresh oranges in smoothies are yummy). So far my favourite greens are collards, chard, celery, and cukes are great, too. Spinach isn't a favourite. Brussel sprouts are good - but it brings out the cabbage taste so why not just do that? Cabbage is cheaper. Broccoli - one of my favourite green normally, doesn't seem to translate well. Beets are great when I get them from Booster juice, but I haven't successfully included them at home. I now have a magic crystallized beet powder which was crazy expensive (I forgot to check the price) to try. The amount of powdered fruit and veggies I've found lately has been encouraging for when I travel or if I am too short on time. They are silly expensive but since I think they make me feel healthier/better, they might be cheaper in the long run. I'd love powdered collards. I wonder if they exist.
