[Let's hear it for unknown powers preserving the timeline by wiping all of their memories before they get home. Hanekoma's sighing, on this end of the transmission, and resigning himself to damage control.
Dammit, Josh. Tact.
On the plus side, the kid only knows about one of the bullets so far....]

See you there.
[He shuts down the PCD, tucking it into a pocket, and heads out on the spot. It doesn't sound like the kid got any explanation at all; he'll have an interesting time phrasing things in some way that won't send him fleeing all over again.
It's not hard to sense Neku's location, even over all the damn static in this place. He might be upset, but he's still exceptional. Hanekoma kicks a few apples out of the way as he approaches, hands in his pockets against the chill.]
[Hanekoma watches the apples bob away from shore.]
So the first thing I oughta tell you is the whole thing you got stuck in was a Game between Shibuya's Conductor and Composer. With Shibuya on the line.
The district'd been gettin' closed off, you see. Shut in. Stagnant... and you know what that does, Phones. Shut yourself up with nothin' but your own thoughts, and there's nowhere ta go but down. Josh didn't think it could change.
He was gonna wipe it out. Keep the rot from gettin' out to other districts. The Conductor staked his life to prove Shibuya could change. One month time limit, and Josh was banished from the UG for the duration to make it fair. Otherwise he'd have won way too easy.
With him outta the way, he needed a proxy to play out his side of things.
Planning to come back after that or are you looking for your own place, Phones?

[A pause.]

But I'm sorry you had to get stuck in the middle of everything, for what that's worth, Phones.
