Talks Sir Ken Robinson: Do schools kill creativity?
This would explain why my nephew once told me that music is stupid. I also think this is a problem with a lot of people of my generation. I've gotten a lot of "you can't make money by doing ." I don't want to be a pharmacist! I'm working through all the bureaucratic bullshit of STCC trying to register for classes in my Interactive Multimedia major. Yet, in the back of my head I still have this doubt ingrained by other people, especially my father, that I'll fail. Like, I'm stupid or not pursuing something that other people are more familiar with and understand. I've never been one to pander to that on a superficial level. I would hope that one day people will be able to relate to me on why I'm doing what I'm doing. Art, design, expression, creativity is my passion. Maybe a few more months of therapy will make that change. I don't know. I just know what I need to do now. Follow something that I love doing.
