Neverwhere
I've just finished watching the BBC mini-series of Neverwhere and I'm well and truly gutted its over. I LOVED it all - the casting, the sets, the music, the bizarre intro sequence...all of it! The filmed-on-a-budget-ness actually made it cooler, and I loved the way that it was actually filmed under London, mostly using the Royal Mail tunnels. The Marquis de Carabas was fantastic (Johnson from Peep Show!) and the guy who played Richard was very good as well, as were Croup and Vandemaar.
There was also an interview with Neil Gaiman on the DVD and while I was watching it it occurred to me that I never realised how hot that man is. I mean, I've seen photos of him and heard him speak but never actually seen him on film before. So now that I think he is totally gorgeous, I'm going to post a gratuitous photo...
