(no subject)
So, yes, the castle! Well, it was pretty amazing really...a drawing room with an ornate Italian marble fireplace and a Steinway grand piano, a proper snooker room, a massive dining room, deer heads in the hall etc. etc. The weather was mostly crap but in some ways it made it so much cosier to come back to the fire after getting wet and blown about outside! Lots of lovely fresh seafood was also consumed :D
Then when I got back it was straight off to Center Parcs for another friend's birthday, so needless to say this week back at work has been a bit of a struggle! Still, there are some potentially interesting projects in the pipeline, I've done some fun things, and generally 2009 seems to be going pretty well so far...(famous last words?!?! I hope not!)
New things:
- started to play badminton with my work colleagues!
- learnt some new melodeon tunes
- read half of Neil Gaiman's Sandman (this is an expensive hobby!)
