Being a court magistrate.
That's the way to go.
$50K a year
Just to say the word "no."
one after the other
they'd all file in line
takin days off of their work
as i waste all their time
id be an excellent servent
a cut above the rest
to the commonwealth, fervent
to state the obvious
i'd look into their eyes
nodding without blinking
doodling on my legal pad
as if i were thinking
a whole courtroom to myself
with the air-conditioner crankin'
my law-books lining the shelf
to push my sophistication
oh my job would be so tiring
i'd doze off in my seat (this actually happened!)
but it sure beats ambulance-chasing
or being on my feet. .
