I'm still alive, i swear.. Just reading friends posts, haven't had much to post about..
I've been replacing parts on my furnace (water flooding in the crawlspace, furnace at lowest part.. you do the math)
Waiting for new blower fan and run capacitor to come in, ordered a spare fan controller board for the next time it floods.. replaced the draft inducer last week.
Furnace was made in 1992, one of those 80% efficient things, so definitely not worth replacing unless I absolutely have to.. payback period on even a 95% is over 40 years at current Nat Gas pricing...
Local shop quoted me 475 + 95 service + 13% tax for the draft inducer, got it in the US for 85+11shipping+5.12 tax.. didn't even bother with a quote for the new furnace fan.. it's a standard 48Y frame, those are 115 dollars or so in the US.
