Heh, my entries are so unformal now. I guess I'm getting a little lazy without all that responsibility from back home ( Read more... )

Yeah, I guess I can say that now. I had to take her to find shoes and a jacket. She wasn't dressed for this weather at all.

Is she from your world, Simon?

Really? Did you take her to the "mall" for that?

I guess so, since she's the Helix King's daughter.

Well, more or less, I guess it was.

She's a princess then?

We're there right now, since she wanted me to get some warmer clothes. Is winter usually that bad?

I guess so, but I never really thought about that...

It can be. Better to be safe than sorry. You could get ill, especially if you aren't used to the weather.

It explains a lot though. Poor thing, they must have kept her inside a lot. We better keep an eye on her, things can get dangerous here.

Yeah. I've never seen winter or snow before, but I don't want to get sick, either.

Her father was the reason why so many humans on the surface were being killed, too, and she didn't even know about that... I guess she really never got to see the outside world, just like Aniki and me before we left the village. We'll have to protect her in case Dark Link or anyone else tries to hurt her...

Winter's nice if you bundle up. It's fun.

Heheh, I saw TOO much of the world. My Aniki, he's not responsible at all. I'm more of an adult than him, I run things. He tends to leave me places like outside of the whore houses or at... uughh with FRED LUO. You don't ever want to meet that guy, because you're a boy. But I'm just as street smart as I am book smart. I can teach you about those kind of things, the 'above ground' things. I can even tell you about space, if you want!

Yeah, she'll be our responsibility. It's easier with two!

I owe my Aniki a lot... Back in the village, he was the only one who ever stuck up for me, and because he believes in me, I can believe in myself. I would always worry that I just wasn't good enough, but he'd always tell me to keep going. We're not really brothers, but we're just as close.

I wouldn't mind learning a bit more about the world... I guess humans didn't have to live underground where you came from? Also...what's space?

Mm! I agree, and maybe I can get Aniki to help.

Gene, my aniki, he... well I do owe a lot to him. I don't remember a lot before he found me. See, my dad was a famous hacker, he was called the Computer Wizard. But I remember not liking being with him. He didn't watch me much, he was too busy all the time, so I had to take care of myself a lot. I don't really remember the slums we lived in either, except it smelled bad and when I did go to school, they'd make fun of me for it.

I ran away, and Gene found me... he decided to take me in, and I was always really intelligent, and my dad did teach me to hack like he could, or well, the best a little kid could follow that. He's kept me safe ever since and raised me. He's almost like my dad, except he's really reckless. But we started a business together, and he has big dreams now... I wish I was there to help him with them.

No, the opposite, really. And space is the place above the sky where the stars are.

That'd be great!

My parents were killed in an earthquake a long time ago....I can barely remember them. I didn't have many friends back in the village, since I was a digger, and a lot of people thought I was dirty, but Aniki stuck up for me.

We don't really have a business, but both of us are part of the Gurren Brigade, and he's part of the reason why more people were able to come to the surface.

So there aren't Ganmen where you came from? Living on the surface like that must be better than staying where there's always a ceiling and walls... And...is space where the moon and stars are?
