To boldly stay home and die?

To quote Wikipedia on the VSS Enterprise, the real life vessel Virgin has made to do flights out of and into the atmosphere:

Entrepreneur Richard Branson, head of the space tourism company Virgin Galactic, offered William Shatner, the actor who portrayed Captain Kirk in the original Star Trek series, a free ride into space on the inaugural space launch of the VSS Enterprise, with a retail value of $200,000. However, Shatner turned it down, and said, "I do want to go up but I need guarantees I'll definitely come back."[5]

Only human of Bill, but COME ON! You're old and grey dude! Same risk of having a heart attack and dying on terra firma!

To quote George Carlin:

"You need a little danger in your life. Take a fuckin’ chance, will ya? What are you gonna do, play with your prick for another 30 years? Are you gonna read People and eat at Wendy’s till the end of time? Take a fuckin’ chance!"

film, life, space
