Why some remakes work.

-Battlestar Galactica:

All they kept was the ships, some character names, and barely any of the original plot. The rest was original, and so far, has been wildly popular for it.

- Star Trek : TNG:

It wasn't Kirk and crew, but it had the original Trek creator on hand until the early 90s.
(DS9 was almost as good, Voyager was okay, Enterprise was shaky, but you can see the shows dwindle in strength as the years go on, despite effect advancements.)

- Justice League(/Unlimited):

It wasn't Superfriends, but it WAS made by the team by the wildly successful team behind Batman : The Animated Series from the early 90s.

These are a few examples of some remakes that DO work, just to show I'm not wildly anti ALL remakes, just the ones that are flawed.
