Powerless laces. Oh boy.

Blurb: Nike will finally answer the cries of millions of sneaker fans- after years of waiting, speculating and begging - as it releases the Marty McFly Hyperdunks in limited quantities. The release date is rumored to either be early July or late summer.

Although not exactly the same as the ones worn by Michael J. Fox in Back to the Future, these McFly-inspired Hyperdunks may be the closest McFly fans will ever get to the mythological pair. The shoes come in a McFly-inspired colorway with a grey base, speckled outsole, light blue highlights and the number 2015 stamped on the tongue. The subtle blue netting sets these apart from the other Hyperdunks.

Don’t wait until 2015 to cop these amazing shoes, or you will wish you could go back in time to get a pair.

Okay, did Nike really look at this clearly? First off, everyone who wanted a pair were after these:

And they got the ugly relatives above?!

And what's worse, is Nike only made LIMITED releases.
(This is as bad as the hype for Matrix mobile/cell phones, which were also limited release, in the U.S only, and worked with one carrier.)

Even sans power laces, they're really wanted. Hell, substitute the power laces for elastic and the top strap with velcro if need be!
(Odd in the age of keyboards in clothes they can't though.)

It's only 2008. Let's hope they'll get it right before 2016.

Right would be this:
