[Election] For A Few Dollars More?

Oct 24, 2007 06:48

John Howard has moved to counter Labor's attack over rising household bills, pledging $500 annual payments to more than 3 million people in a $4 billion pitch to pensioners, carers and the disabled.
- From GOOGLE News.

Being on a pension myself, I know last minute bribery when I see it. He can take my $500 a year and proceed to cram anally, annually, until one of us dies.
It took me years to get my DSP (Disabilty Support Pension), through Hell and back to even get them to get my paperwork in order for a medical condition several doctors called an obvious "no questions needed" scenario, it was/is that obvious.

That and add on top the hell he caused raising HECS by 25% (Tertiary interest fees for borrowing from the Government while studying - applies to most studies). I was attempting my best to go to Uni while going for my DSP as well, and the fee raise meant I had to abandon my classes too.

He's limited my options while trying to get back into Uni, the HECS now gratingly called HELP fees. How ironic.
