In order:

- It's an isolated panel from a Silver-Age strip. Of course Superman looks like an idiot.

- The shadow is otherwise distorted, so a snub-nosed hammer getting lost is reasonable. And besides, it's a "shock" cover - it's not meant to be factually accurate.

- No, jackass, she's cradling him after something horrible happened.

Okay, pardon the unnecessary picky responses, but Superdickery annoys me. It shows no respect for a lot of old comics that deserve it.

Oh, of course they deserve some respect, but where they slipped up or time has made the perfect image seem not so much, it's always good for a laugh.

It's not like we're laughing at ALL of it, just the amusing slip ups and oddities.

Also, to add, I'm not familiar with all of the situations, so this too would add to the "WTF is going on?" factor.

And that's the big problem. Superdickery.com takes stuff I understand wholly out of context and makes fun of it. Then people who don't know it come along and act like these panels were always utter absurdity.

If you like it, like it. I don't. I really should just have left it alone, and for that I apologize.

It's all good. A passionate fan is a good thing for long lasting fandoms. :)
