I've rarely found everyday heroes that I can look up to and take examples from, but two men constantly outdo themselves.
I just saw Hugh Jackman doing a spot for the Bone Marrow Donor Institute.
(Filmed during Van Helsing schedules methinks, or at least between that and X-Men sequel projects - His scruffy-as, bearded Royal Hughness.)
Hugo Weaving seems to have vanished for the time being, but he too has a BLOODY amazing example - an Epileptic that's overcome the basic fears and pains that come with the disability, entertained Aussies, and also conquered America and the rest of the world, WITHOUT selling out neither commercially nor morally!
(See: "Powerade", The decently done Smith/Agent Wannabe that Hugo turned down while making the "Matrix" sequels. Hugh *kinda* sold out, doing FOXTEL [Aussie cable] ads.)
Hell, Hugo became huge in America, and CAME BACK HERE!
Seriously, if I ever was in the same BUILDING as Hugo, I'd go into a trance, then go all "Wayne's World" on him.
(Almost as much with Hugh, but hell, Hugo and I share more in the honour and physical traits department.)
