[ Lightly slapping his cheeks, trying to wake him ]

Why do you always do this?

[teaandflowers]

... [opens his eyes just the tiniest bit] ... Lance?

[bishop_lance]

[ Soft sigh of relief ]

You silly boy.

[ An arm around Lab's shoulders, helping him sit up ]

[sits up] Huh? [absolutely sees nothing wrong with taking a nice nap in the garden]

[bishop_lance]

You're frozen. Your lips are blue. Cold is the one thing...

I suppose I shouldn't fret, but...

[teaandflowers]

[touches his lips a bit] They are...?

[and just looks at him drowsily, still half-asleep]

You've got a perfectly nice coffin! Why don't you sleep in that?

I do sleep in that at night. It's nice sleeping out here though sometimes.

[bishop_lance]

...and how do you think you look when you're sleeping! Imagine if someone found you! What a fright you'd give them!

... huh? I look like I'm sleeping...

Like you're sleeping eternally.

[frowns lightly at that] I'm sure I don't.

Naturally, because sleeping people are generally ice cold to the touch and pulseless. We don't even breathe when we're sleeping, did you know that?

Sometimes when I'm travelling and have to sleep out of doors, I'll put a sign out saying, "I'm not dead."
