Major meltdown
So it finally crashed...my laptop, 3 years running without major issues, it must be a new record. Got a guy off the newspaper who guaranteed no reformatting - he lied. System was reformatted and I lost some data and pixs. (*_*) Thank goodness most of my vital links and stuff are now either in thumbdrives, SD cards, work laptop or online.
Good thing about it though is that my laptop now logs on faster. External HDD finally arrived, got it for 50% off, thanks to SM.
New mantra now: Backup! Backup! Backup!
Body gave up about the same time. Have the worse laryngitis ever. Lost my voice for a day, still have not regain full use of it. Coughing constantly and spitting out green gunk...eww..Colleagues found it amusing...thank goodness I have finished most of my work. Due to deliver a 1 hour lecture next week. Hopefully, wih lots of "cooling" tea, my voice will be back to normal before then.
Work wise: Boss misplaced our annual appraisals, we went into a mini panic. Fortunately, supervisor came to the rescue, we finally signed the dotted line. Come July, am expecting a fat bonus. Timely too since we have signed up for a 15 day trip to Tibet.
Can't wait for July to pass me by.
