Ahhh man, it's crazy to see these side-by-side. For one, when you do use text (though you don't have any here with it ^^'), it looks 200% less awkward. For two, they're not blurred to death XD I am REALLY in huge like with your use of textures, especially on the ones you posted. That Silver one~ Oh, just lovely! Also the middle one - idk who she is, but that one has good use of texture and good coloring.

I know, right? And I scarcely ever borders these days and if I do there's always some whitespace.

The middle one on the bottom is May from Fire Emblem Gaiden.

The improvements are just so obvious, there's nothing much I can say. I really like how you make icons. You're so much more creative about it than I am!

Wow, you've come such a long way! I can tell! While the first ones are boring, same font text, about the same size, and nothing special about them at all, really. I personally find adding text hard as hell, as you've got to make it clear on the image so it can stand out as such, but not always the same colours and figure out something good to put. Yeah. I'm rambling now and nothing in perticular, but that's just me.

The latest ones have improved a great deal, as I said before, but there are still some points you should work on. Try not to make your icons to what's the word - saturated and overdone, like the first one. I'm not so keen on the fourth one either, but hay, if it's meant to be that dark, then it shall! I love the third one and the last one, they're so beautiful! I especially love the third one, the use of the rose texture in the background and the colouring is ver impressive :3 I love your cropping also! :D Keep up the good work~!
