I previously
posted an acting headshot from when I had short hair to show people how I used to look. That was 20 years ago. Almost exactly. The shot itself was actually 21 years ago next month.
Today, I went in for a consultation to determine what hairstyle I might want. That's all I was expecting. A consultation. I didn't think she had time for more. Well, I walked out with a new hairdo! (Much better than when I first went to consult about surgery and walked out with an appointment for the following week.) She had a lunch break coming up and decided she had time to sculpt a new hairstyle for me. We had no idea what it was going to look like. She'd keep cutting until we came to the end. There was a brief stop with a short hair cut, that had the top hair still several inches longer than what we ended up with. It made me look much younger. But, I didn't like it that much. So, after a little bit and instead of letting it sit for two weeks, I had her continue cutting away. Until the sculpting was complete.
I love it! Wendy Ebbing at Gilbert Dupont Salon in Saratoga is fabulous! I highly recommend her. Thanks to
mal and
paeyl for the recommendation years ago from mentions of her work. I think I actually met her years ago. She really looked familiar. Wendy says hi to you both, too.
Oh, you want pics, do you? So do I. Well, better than what I have. I meant to have
bookturtle take some pics tonight, but didn't remember until she was heading home. And, since these are all I have right now, I'll let you take a peek.
I hope to find a good photographer friend this weekend (tomorrow?) to take better shots. Any suggestions or offers? I want to send one to my brother's wife so she can print them out on quality paper and frame one for my mom for Christmas. She's a professional photographer, too. When I get better shots, I'll post them.
I'm literally quite giddy and bouncy. And smiling a lot. This was the first part of my birthday celebrations. No wonder I'm not tired, yet. I'm still too excited from today! Now I have to learn how to use "product." ;)
