Today I had a very different day at work and I ended up getting paid for doing some fun things. First, I went to the Copperfield's Santa Rosa store where Guy Fieri, a food network celebrity and a local, was signing copies of his new book. I was there to get video footage as a promotional thing for Copperfield's that will hopefully go on our website and on youtube. A good thing about this event was that I got a free personalized signed copy of Guy's book courtesy of Lauren's managerial powers and I got free food from Guy's restaurant Johnny Garlics. Then, as I blogged about in my last post, I videotaped cheerleader cheering for Copperfield's in Sebastopol and Santa Rosa. Then, on the way back from Santa Rosa Vicki, our marketing person, and I went driving around getting videotape of different Copperfield's promotional signs she had put up. Then we got back to the office and I got the video footage fromt he day onto the computer and then headed home. Tomorrow Vivki asked me to do her a favor and go and put little coupon things on peoples cars while they are in church tomorrow. The church people park in the Copperfield's parking lot in Santa Rosa, so its a good promotion. I find the idea kinda funny, but she paid me $25 cash o do it, so whagt the hell. The worst that'll happen is the security person will notice and ask me to stop, although it would be quite an interesting story if somehow they could arrest me for it. Oh and apparently last week a sheriff came into Copperfield's asking us to stop posting so many signs all over the place; Vivki had posted a ton of posters. I think locallaw enforcement is getting tired of all ofour signs, but we need the extra advertisign that hopefully will bring in the extra cash so that we can all have our 5% and 10% paycuts revoked after the holidays. This is a lot of random information I know, but I had a very interesting day.
