Went to an optometrist on Thursday. Got a pair of trial contacts and all this. Yesterday was a bitch to get them in, oh my god, I was so pissed. Hopefully today is an ikkle bit easier. Yesterday taking them out felt like downgrading my eyes. I'm bliiiind. XD But I love them when they're not being bitches. It's useful having a girlfriend who wears contacts for the same reason you do. <3 I love them so much even though they're fuckheads half the time, it's awesome to be able to see shit and play with the dog without worrying about my glasses. I can see up and down and out of the corner of my eye, too. It makes you wanna keep 'em in for fucking ever, but I'm not supposed to sleep with 'em. Pfftsh. I have a follow up appointment next Thursday. I'm just like eeeeeeee.
Yesterday was 'Lin and I's six month anniversary. We did all kinds of fun shit and (hopefully) just generally made eachother feel loved. It was great, even though we weren't with eachother physically, it was still really nice and worth mentioning.
I found an old VCR. I am trying to fix it. It is... fun. XD Some dumbass went through and disconnected shit so I'm trying to fix it. 'Cos it's the old upstairs VCR that had an eating problem, and if I can fix it maybe I can junk the VCR I have in here, since like... it used to be my grandmother's and it's really tempermental. It spits out some tapes for no reason and you have to try and persuade it to play sometimes, it turns off randomly and sometimes it won't play a tape at all no matter what. Also, it's developed an eating problem. Plus the old upstairs VCR is really friggin' nice. I wants. <3 So that's my ikkle pet project lately, aside from trying to get ahold of my AWOL teacher 'cos we haven't gotten the school shit yet (I had a dream about it, oi) and doing the layouts I owe to ten million people. The good thing in all of this is that I'm happy, which is all I could really ask for. ^-^
