In celebration of his 22nd birthday: The many phases of Spencer Smith

And I know some people say they can't see the hips things, but, really? It's possibly easier to tell in videos though. It has to do with his slouching posture and the way he stands with his hip cocked slightly.

I don't know where it was, but I read somewhere that Spencer's short hair phase looked a lot like Eddie Izzard and it just stuck with me because, yes. It really does.
And then they went away to a cabin to write an album, and thus ends pretty boy!Spencer. And here the beard begins.
And then Ryan discovers the 60s and the Hippy era makes an appearance. Unfortunately it lasted longer for Spencer than it did for Ryan. Because seriously, head scarves? Why?
We had a nice period after the headscarves with some old-fashioned suits and regular clothing. But then, it went very very wrong. The beard was shaved and we were left with The Pornstache. DDD:
A hideous time that thankfully didn't last too long and I like to try and forget.
A since then it's all been good! :D

I know a lot of people don't 'get' this pairing, but I don' think you have to at all to enjoy it. I mean, how is it any less 'believable' than Brendon/Spencer or any other inter-band pairing? It's not like we actually think any of these guys are gay and having sex in real life, so why limit yourself to geographic conveniences? And, pairings spanning bands are such fun because the writer has to be more creative in how they meet and such. It's great! But uh, back to my point, this fic is awesome and you should all read it! I personally don't have a problem with Spencer's age here, or the age difference, but if you do, beware. And I soooo wish this was a full fic.
And I'm failing so hard right now because I keep getting distracted and finding fic I want to read instead of doing this, and it's not even Spencer fic. >:( So yeah, that's all for now. Happy birthday Spencer!
