[OOC: I figured why not? Open to a myriad of FF7 peoples - Tseng, Veld, Reeve, Reno and Zack, specifically. Just have at and don't worry too much about turn order, I guess

Things hadn't changed much in Midgar...he knew that somewhere in the slums he'd been whelped to some poor, slum couple he'd never remember. He didn't particularly care to go looking either despite the curiosity...it'd be too weird seeing himself as an infant. And besides, what do you say to your parents when they're total strangers: Yo! Thanks for nothin' assholes. He wasn't even certain what he'd do in Veld's company...he wasn't really the Veld that Reno remembered and he didn't know the man too long either. He was pretty new to the Turks when Veld was in charge...though not as new as some. On top of that the only person he figured he'd feel comfortable around at this point was Zack...and that was if he turned up. Not that Reno would let it show and after a few drinks he'd seem almost normal.
Once he spotted Tseng, Veld and Reeve he shuffled his way over...not that it was difficult with the wide berth he was given. Once he'd reached Reeve, Veld and Tseng he slid easily into a chair, grin appropriately in place. Veld and Tseng seemed to be chatting it up, but he had no problem interrupting with a hearty, "so what'd I miss!"
"Not much," Tseng said, glancing over at Reno and smiling faintly. "I was just considering pulling out your baby pictures for Veld. Or were you even born yet at this time?"
This was strange to say the least but he gave the other three a nod. "Good to meet you all and all that," he said, gesturing for the bartender to bring more drinks since it seemed this could get awkward fast and he didn't really want to think about the future tonight. "No baby pictures tonight are necessary tonight, I feel old enough already," he chuckled.
"I was born the same year as the prez, but I dunno about the exact date...I'm probably a few months older...but I don't have any baby pictures that I know of so no worries," Reno said grinning and shrugging. For once he was glad that he had nothing of the kind to show off unlike Rufus who was probably getting snapshots all the time. And now time for some of that Reno humor, "you are pretty damned old, Veld, in our time you're ancient."
As the oldest, physically, at the table, Reeve rolled his eyes at Reno's proclamation, reaching out to give the Turk a gentle slap to the back of his head.
"Keep talking like that and we'll go find you to take some."
"You know I'll remember this even when I'm ancient, you two," Veld pointed out though his tone was amused. "And with any luck, you'll have to deal with me when I'm a senile old man then"
"Not terribly different than dealing with you for the rest of your life," Tseng replied blandly, taking another sip of his drink. He was already halfway through it, and it was clearly hitting him.
"I'm glad to hear that, if I have to grow old, I get to enjoy being senile," Veld laughed as he pushed another drink Tseng's way, a bit tipsy himself already.
Reno was too busy rubbing the back of his head and giving Reeve the I-doubt-that look and he seriously doubted they'd be able to find Reno in the slums. It would be like picking through a pile of trash to find the smallest of needles. He wasn't sure he wanted to see his conditions as an infant either and he didn't even know his real name.
Once he recovered from the blow he started sipping on his own drink, a tall bottle of beer. Fortunately his stomach was like a tank and he had special immunities when it came to drinking so he had the luxury of watching Veld and Tseng getting drunk, "I hear they have homes for old, senile men."
"I'm sure they're very nice," Tseng said, giving the new drink a doubtful look, then picking it up and taking a small sip. He was sure he'd be fine with just two.
"You seem to think you can get rid of me that easily," Veld snorted. "Come on, Tseng, if I taught you to drink like that, I'm disappointed, just clug it already," he rolled his eyes while watching Tseng.
