Zechs wasn't often called upon to work with other Turks. True, he worked under the direct supervision of Tseng or Rufus before, or had been given some random security underlings on a few occasions. It was rather rare he had to work with the Turks jointly, however. Before, he was primarily given solo missions.
He had a feeling this was going to change. Largely due to the way Tseng had quietly but distinctly disapproved after Zechs' recent and uncharacteristic panic due to a certain new forum member. The former soldier could read the small signs he was being watched and monitored all the more closely. And he had a distinct feeling - until Tseng realized Zechs worked alone for a reason - he would be participating in partnered or group missions all the more often.
The Alliance, OZ, and even the Preventers knew Zechs operated best alone, no matter how sharp his command skills might be.
Now Zechs sat in the main room, under the distinct feeling making himself unavailable would only draw more attention. There was the powerful rifle Rufus had gifted him at Christmas in pieces around him, which he was cleaning only to give his hands some form of occupation. By now, he was slowly putting the weapon back together.
