she hangs around in front of the novelty shop
with buckled hips and dimpled knees
humming something about the birds and bees
kicking rocks with the toes of her shoes
little tin radio streaming the news
she's here, what a little gutter flower
i come out the shop, this very hour
she looks up at me, with those bedroom eyes
and fingers touching creamy thighs
so clever in what she does and how she'll tease
makes you wanna just take a leap and spead those dimpled knees
but you're composed, i'm composed, too proper much
to be tempted, to wanna touch
so ignore it, once again
this girl's got lips that probably taste just like carmel
and the way she's dressed today, just makes you swell
hanging around here again, sitting on the ground
just like she waits for you, for me to come around
doesn't look up until we're coming out again
cigarettes and booze and magazines in hand
again she seems to offer it, so forward in her advance
almost makes you wanna take a chance
but instead i shrug carelessly
you'd think this girl'd be put off by being ignored
then again, this isn't something you'd see on an advisory board
she gives us a flashing smile and accepts no response
going back to humming with the radio and nonchalance
and i can't help but be surprised
but you guess it's not something to be advertised
so we move along our way
tomorrow's always another day
..i should probably put you on my writing lock. xD;
fairly difficult considering we've talked.. never.
but yeah. ♥
