I already remembered Masada.
Laylat al-Qadr, the birth of Jesus, and Daniel 8:15-17, now... those are new.
Thanks for not dipping into the werewolf memories. I'd sooner think about ancient history.
god's expository force,
the end of days,
an angel really,
ghost of xmas past,
cursed,
christmas,
daniel

Raven... [kind of ronery, and not sure how to say it] ..Are you busy?
Reply
And chocolate. Unless you feel like a run through the Underground instead.

[for a moment wonders if killing monsters would help (it usually does), but decides having little sister there is more important--reminds him there's more to him than a freaky mystical prophet thing] No--tea and chocolate. Please.

Trouble is when the newest villain on the block decides to rob a bank at 4 in the morning; it is not tea and chocolate. [With her big brother, but that can be left unsaid.]
Reply
That sounds inconvenient. [smiles a little, glad to see her, so glad, in fact, that he abstains from hugging just for her sake] ..What are those? [p-predates brownies]
Reply
[let's go with that, yes. |D also, looking at him, an eyebrown arching in something like disbelief.]
Brownies. [waving the box at him to punctuate.] You've ... never had brownies before?
Reply
No. [gets up and goes over to inspect them] ...Something from your world?
Reply
She opens the box and holds it out toward him.] Try one; they're good, I promise.

[pauses, not biting it yet--looks over towards the kitchen sink area] Did you want me to make the tea?
Reply
I'm not cursed; I'll make the tea this time. [As thank you for all the previous times he'd gotten her tea, but who says everything they mean these days anyway? Consequently, she'd found the kettle (pot?) earlier and water was already sitting on the stove.]
Reply
Mmmmm. [approves greatly of these brownies, goes over to try sneaking another one] They're good. [looks over at her] Are you having one? ["before I eat them all"]
Reply
So... do you want to talk about it? [They could always sit and have tea and brownies instead; Raven knew better than most about the need for privacy after all.]
Reply
I don't know. [struggles to find the words, not used to talking about it, and meditates on a bite of brownie for a moment - Raven deserves some kind of explanation] I'm just a person. I don't think I'm very good at what I do. [and the crux of it] ...I think if I'm all it takes to be an angel, we're all in trouble.

You've been holding out on us. [there's a dry humour in her voice that tells him that while she's surprised, it doesn't change anything about how she sees him. For better or for worse, big brother; no special treatment just because you might have a hotline to God.]
And if you're not good at what you do, Van Helsing, then there's no hope left for the rest of us. I don't think I've ever met someone with more enthusiasm for their job.

You really think so? [obviously pleased as hell, and if she wasn't sitting faaar on the other side of the table, he would snuggle--so maybe that's for the best] That... means a lot. Thank you.
[ooc; dlkfmlml ♥ I-I've been meaning to ask how you're getting on bb]
