well today was a super sweet day at school! I was getting observed first block by my college professor, so obviously I wanted everything to be perfect...but of course that means that something went wrong :-P

Ok, so we were supposed to be in the language lab during the first part of the class, so I was super excited to try out an activity I found online. But come to find out the computer in the lab didn't feel like working, so we couldn't do the activity. So instead I had to whip out a random song for the kids to listen to. Overall, that went well. We were going over lyrics for the song and one of the words was Estrella and Anna goes "yeah like that poem we read" and I almost fell on the floor because they all remembered every little detail about the poem and we did that like a month ago...at least. Anyway, so then I moved into the body of the lesson which included a TPRS story and while everyone tells me it went well, I feel like it was a little chaotic. The kids were ragging on my pictures that I drew to make the story easier, but I kinda just brushed it off. But it was all worth it because after school today, one of my students told me how much she liked the story and that really made me feel good about it!

It was pretty funny though because after class, Jesus comes up to me and goes "so i totally didn't realize that guy was your professor, so I feel really bad that I was making fun of your story. DId you notice that all of a sudden I shut up? Yeah that's because I felt like a fool after figuring out who he was." I laughed at him...hard.

But Erica kept telling me how well the lesson went so I guess that means it semi served its purpose. C'est la vie. I can't believe I only have four more days teaching these kids...and then I have to do nothing for a whole week. Arrrrrggggg.
