Fic Opportunity!
I know we're all hoping for lots of awesome Community fic to come out of Yuletide, and when I saw another fic challenge pop up on my flist, I thought of this comm first.
picfor1000 is a fantastic challenge, open to all fandoms and original fic, in which each person is given an image and then has to write a thousand-word story that uses that picture as inspiration, a jumping-off point, a plot point, or anything along those lines. The story has to be exactly 1000 words, so you know you're not signing up for anything like a bigbang. I've played every year since I got an lj, and it's a lot of fun.
This year's theme is food, and if that doesn't make you think immediately of Shirley's brownies and whatnot, a plate of winter-doodles, or even special drink, then . . . maybe it just made you hungry?
